  • The receiving pit was so close to the petrol station.
  • The ground was contaminated with Petroleum products, Toxic Gases & highly inflammable Gases.

Critical Success Factors:

• Provided a suitable team of well-experienced staff.
• Adopting advanced technologies & safety precautions below;
  • Ventilation & Gas detection systems were specially imported from the micro-tunneling machine manufacturer Herrenknecht AG, Germany.
  • Special emergency preparedness training was given to the site crew.
