Introduction

Scope of work : Installation of DN 500, 700, 900, 1200 & 1600 Reinforced Concrete Jacking Pipe for sewage line of King Abdullah Sport city, underneath King Abdul Aziz Road, Jeddah.

Project Facts:

  • Project area close to the Red Sea, water was encountered at 1-meter depth. (some shafts water pressure was around 1.5 bar)
  • Shafts depth range (5-24) meters.   
  • Pipe Floating– up lift due to water pressure.
  • Upon completion of MT works Grouting & finishing works been applied to each tunnel.

Critical success factors:

  • Provided a suitable team of well-experienced staff.
  • Supply special ancillaries (Pipe Break) to stop backward moving of the pipes due to water pressure.
  • Four different machines have been deploying to the site in the same timing also, four machines worked with 02 shift of manpower.
  • Managed to successfully install 2,832lm of above stated various diameters.

We had successfully executed and handed over the site to the end client NWC without any comments.
