STCC team finished a project of Water pipeline Project in Taif, and the equipment is on its way to Yanbu to be apart of project of Sewerage System Network & Housing Connection in Yanbu city.
Project overview, the construction of a sewage network had been entirely halted for years, since the contractor who had been awarded the project had failed to meet the project’s deliverables, thus the execution of project is a big challenge for all parties involved (Client, Main Contractor & STCC) to perform this project successfully, effectively, safety, and in timely manner and to satisfy the community. Currently, the Main Contactor and the End Client have put their trust in STCC to lead the tunneling work on this project.
STCC team successfully achieved the breakthrough of tunnel # 10 in the project, the total length installed for the last completed tunnel is 110.00 meters, and total length of tunnels completed to date is 1051 meters account for 61% of total project quantity.
STCC team has mobilized the resources to next location and stated surface and shaft setup.
Very Soon, the tunneling machine will be launched, crossing length is 220 meters.
Days ago, the STCC team successfully launched the machine, the crossing length is 250 meters which consider a long crossing and reaching the maximum machine design capacity, the main contractor cannot split the tunnel as a result of the huge number of existing underground utilities, the challenge accepted and STCC will keep pushing forward till complete the tunnel.
The total number of crossings completed is 31 tunnels with a total length of 3720 meters account for 62% of total project quantity.
A few days ago, STCC team successfully achieved the breakthrough of the tunnel # 3 in the project of Tabuk Sewage Network Doret Tabuk, Al OLYA,2 AlMASEIF, ALRAJHI, by this achievement 3 no’s of crossing have completed with a total length 480 meters.
Days ago, the STCC team successfully launched the machine, the crossing length is 95 meters. STCC had delivered special tools to be mounted to the cutting head to improve the progress since the ground encountered is Clay ground.
It is worth mentioning, in Taif city, the machine had recently achieved an important milestone in the project of Transmission Line Al-Rahmania Tank owned by NWC, the machine was able to show off its strengths to optimum effect through drilling in very strong rock ground in such as Rocky ground, as well as completed a crossing in project of Diversion the sewage lines from Faisaliah station to the new treatment station west of Abu Hadriyah street in Dammam city the ground was sandy ground.
Considering the above, STCC planned for every possibility and left nothing to chance, mostly of STCC machinery equipped with suitable and proper tools and ancillaries to work in all conditions.
Saudi Tunneling Company for Contracting has been signed a new contract with Mutlaq Al-Ghowari Co. for Contracting Ltd, for welding & installation of Ø76-inch steel casing pipe then insertion of Ø1600 mm steel carrier pipe by using Micro-Tunneling technique, the project owned by National Water Company in Taif city.
