At the beginning stage, a Thrust-boring, Utility Tunneling division was formed amongst M/s. Hassan Allam Construction (Misr Sons Development Group of Companies) in September 2008 at Jeddah, KSA.
In the same year, company’s first Micro-tunneling machine, the AVN600XC/700mm was purchased for the price of SAR 5.4 mln from Herrenknecht (a Germany based manufacturer). However, after the purchase order was issued, the project in which the machine was supposed to work (installation of DN600mm reinforced concrete jacking pipe in Jeddah) was cancelled.
This presented a big challenge to the fledgling operation. Fortunately, an alternative project, installation of 1.3km of DN600mm pipes was identified and secured in Yanbu. The machine arrived in April 2009 and work began in September 2009.

Two years later in 2011, the division was transferred from Hassan Allam Holding and brought under the umbrella of Al-Angari Holding.
Same year the second investment made by purchasing DN1000 pipe jacking machine worth SAR 0.56 mln.
This was followed in 2012, purchased the AVN1000XC/1200mm tunneling machine for the value of SAR 7.9 mln. In June 2013, the division’s largest micro-tunneling machine, the AVN1600TB/2000 was purchased for a grand total of SAR 11.5mln.

the team was moved into the new office overlooking Tahlia Street, Tahlia Plaza building, Jeddah and the expansion continued by purchasing the AVN800XC/1000/48” machine for SAR 6.7 mln.
In May 2014, the HDD JT4020 Horizontal Directional Drilling machine was purchased from Ditch Witch (a US based manufacturer) with a price tag of SAR 3.5mln.

The division’s second largest machine the AVN1200TC/1400 was purchased for the price of SAR 7.2mln. and continued the 2^nd office expansion on December 2016 in Tahlia Plaza building, Jeddah.
In the same year we started shaft construction independently by using secant piling, sinking, cement block methods for tunnel construction.
In March, 2017 another machine, the HDD AT100 worth SAR 4.4mln was purchased. In January 2018, our 3^rd office expanded in the same Tahlia Plaza Building.

Within 10 years, our company has done many vital and challenging sub-contract works for National Water Company (NWC-MTCBU, RCBU, JCBU, MCBU), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Ministry of Water and Electricity and other main government sectors in a timely manner and successfully continuing the same.

Today, our company has become one of the most skilled and diverse providers of trenchless works by using advanced Micro-tunneling, Horizontal Directional Drilling & Pipe-jacking techniques and shaft works in the local market places throughout KSA with over 40,600 meters of tunnel currently executed or ongoing. Now, in January 2019 our company boasts total 08 machines, 210 full time employees and achieved total assets value of SR 56.89 mln.

In future, new technologies and equipment such as segmental lining machine are expected to be added to the new firm’s fleet to enable it to work in the field of utility tunneling, traffic tunneling etc. to construct big tunnels for both automobiles and metro systems.
